The biggest night of the year is almost here. The night were we bid adieu to 2017 and think about our goals and dreams for 2018… it’s nearly time to celebrate New Year’s Eve! And if you find yourself in Victoria Falls around this time then the famous Carnival should not be missed. It’s an unforgettable event at one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Enjoy three days of non- stop entertainment with Africa’s biggest acts including Black Coffee, Tresor, Mampi, The Kiffness and MANY MORE.
The festival (New Years Eve Carnival) known as Carnival is a colourful three-day affair with activities and music galore on the 29th, 30th and 31st of December. Visitors from all over Africa and the world come to Victoria Falls and party into the New Year.
Africa’s most famous New Year’s party has been mentioned in Huffington Post as one that “will top your bucket list”. How many New Year’s parties do you know that start on a train? On the 29th it’s the African Carnival Train, an actual party train with DJ’s spinning the decks, followed by a bush party in a secret location that goes on until late. On the 30th, the Community Party features world famous DJ Black Coffee as the headliner, and there are smaller parties dotted around venues in town. And then finally on New Year’s Eve it’s the epic Unity Concert where everyone is encouraged to celebrate their roots – highlighting that while the attendees are from all over the world, they are united in their excitement for a new year.
It’s not all parties, dancing and music. Revelers can fill theirs days with exciting adventure activities such as bungee jumping and white-water rafting. All festival goers receive 10% off all adventure packages when booked with their festival ticket.

29th December : AFRICAN CARNIVAL TRAIN. Get dressed up in traditional African fabrics, paint your faces and bring masks for a journey unlike any other through the African bush veld with legendary DJ Francis onboard as you speed past lions and elephants. The train stops in a secret bush location in the Vic Falls wildlife park for an unforgettable night under the stars with back to back DJ’S including Neverland founder DJ Jason LeRoux.
30th December: Start your New Year’s celebration early with an electric night of the best in live house, African, indie and electro-pop. What’s the best way to get warmed up? With a strong piping hot mix from Africa’s biggest artist Black Coffee headlining the night with many more artists to be announced. The action doesn’t stop there, head down into town for a host of parties at popular local venues like Shoestrings.
31st December: UNITY CONCERT. Bring your own flags, paint your face in your home colours and represent your roots as we all come together to countdown to 2018. There’’s absolutely no better way to see in the New Year than in Vic Falls, One of the Seven Wonder’s of the World with non-stop entertainment. Jam until the sun comes up with a host of amazing artists including Tresor, the music sensation from the heart of the Congo, the kings of energetic must-dance-to live performance The Kiffness, Zambian queen of dancehall Mampi, local Vic Falls Flying Bantu and many more. Ring in the countdown with thousands of adventure loving travellers from all over the world, fire breathers, traditional dancers and experience a once-in-a-lifetime New Year’s!
