Situated on the doorstep of the famed Ngamo Plains, which offers fantastic summer game viewing, the camp’s excellent location stands sentry over a magnificent plain and a pan that is a magnet for game year round, especially in the dry winter months.

The fresh, open and airy design of Linkwasha Camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors with the original spirit and essence of safari. Eight sumptuous en-suite tents and one family unit look out over the surrounding plain of Hwange, while the main area – including various multi-level decks, a pool area and a winter lounge complete with library – gazes over the abundant waterhole.

  1. 5 star luxury Zimbabwe Experience

From the warm welcome, to the overly generous amount of food that seems is served 6 times a day, to the cabin/tent that one could comfortably stay in all-day, but for the exciting wildlife that is seeking to be seen, this was one of our favorite stays during our multiple safaris we visited in Africa.

The food was truly delicious and the service is what one would expect in a fine dining establishment in NYC. LOVED the selections from the afternoon teas, to the veggies to the desserts!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Joshua as your guide. He is warm, intelligent, caring and wants more than anything to make sure guests see and experience all that the camp has to offer. We saw hippos, elephants, zebras, tons of birds, tons of different types of antelopes and yes….wait for it….a lion kill….absolutely amazing experience!!

We truly felt like we were family and not guests.

Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone seeking a safari in Zimbabwe and wants a amazing experience.

  2. Luxury Camp

Definitely the best camp we ever stayed at. It was freezing cold in the nights and mornings but we had heated blankets and a very modern air condition in the room that could heat and electric hot water kettle. The food was excellent, the highlight of our trip. All staff are very friendly and humorous. I have never seen so many elephants and zebras in one place. Highly recommend this place!

  3. Elephants drinking from the pool

This was my favorite camp during our first-ever African safari (we visited 3 Zimbabwe camps in 2 weeks). So many elephants — twice the elephants came up to the deck to drink from the pool! — as well as zebras, impala, kudu, giraffe, lion, leopard, and even the tiny steenbok! We highly recommend our guide Lovemore, who was informative and passionate.

We stayed in a family tent with our two boys, ages 12 and 13, while my parents had their own tent nearby. While these are tents, they have sliding glass doors along one wall and built on solid decks with real furniture (and real toilets). We could hear the animals at night, but still felt quite safe.

This is a small camp, with fewer than 20 beds (I think) so it felt very intimate. Food was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for a better trip!
