Horse Back Safari
Horse back safari: Get up close and personal with the wildlife with this horse back safari. Both novice and experienced riders will enjoy this activity and guests will be guided along trails of the Victoria Falls National Park through the bushveld offering stunning views of the Victoria Falls, the Zambezi River and game along the way.
These short morning or afternoon trips, between 2½ to 3 hours in total, provide novice riders with an opportunity to enjoy the special experience of exploring the African bush by horseback. Novice rides are for those with limited riding experience, or who have not ridden for some time, but you should be reasonably fit. Your riding ability will be assessed and you will be given support and guidance as necessary.
Guides accompanying the ride will assist throughout, although clients will have to control their own horses. For clients who have done some riding there will be opportunities to trot, or even canter, but only if you are proficient enough to do so. The horses used on a novice ride are quiet and shorter distances are covered.
“Imagine riding your horse along the banks of this river, just above the magnificent Victoria Falls, with the rising spray from the Falls in the backdrop. Here you can and canter through open bush veld, explore hidden game paths, ride on to secret islands and then follow the natural pathways to the wilderness areas beyond.”
