Nestled discreetly beneath a grove of false mopane trees, the remote Davisons Camp is found in the private Linkwasha Concession – one of the most prolific wildlife areas in Hwange National Park. Hidden within the shade of the treeline, this classic African tented camp, with eight light and airy tents and one family unit, overlooks an open plain and a waterhole that is a favourite drinking hole for elephant and buffalo.

The main area comprises a spacious lounge and dining room which leads out onto an expansive pine deck and an open campfire area, perfect for convivial evening musings or star gazing. The refreshing pool and its loungers are beautifully positioned for idle relaxation, while a small upper deck is an ideal location from which to watch wildlife at the waterhole.

  1. This place is incredible

Having grown up in Zimbabwe, I have had the pleasure of visiting many bush camps and campsites around the country. I am not exaggerating when I say that Davidson’s Camp was hands down the BEST safari experience I have ever been on. I was travelling with my girlfriend who had never been to Africa before and we were both blown away by the incredible hospitality, professionalism and attention to detail provided by the staff. Then there was the game. Despite it being in the height of the rainy season (a time when game viewing is particularly challenging), every day we saw something new. Elephant, hippo, lion, cheetah… the list could go on.

The tents were immaculate and the food top-class. I will certainly be back!

Thank you to Themba, Bee and all the team for making this a truly unforgettable experience.

  2. Just Loved It!!!

The most incredible place with amazing staff and guides. Mike was maybe the best guide I have ever traveled with. His knowledge, enthusiasm and passion was simply amazing. Thank you to all for making it a memorable occasion.

  3. Look no further

As safari addicts we were looking forward to a more authentic ‘bush experience’ but without too much compromise on the comfort front and Davison’s fully matched our brief. Given it was the ‘rainy’ season we saw lots and lots of game and had the advantage of being there when many animals had just given birth. On our trips we rarely see cheetahs but here saw no less than eight including two cubs. Our guide Themba was a larger than life character with fantastic tracking skills and eyesight. Food was absoletely amazing and the staff wonderful. This may sound over the top but it really was that good !
