As the water levels of the Zambezi River drops in the dry season, the beautiful white soft sandy beach on the western side (upstream end) is exposed. Huge Natal Mahogony, Acacia Albida and Water Berry Trees provide welcome cool shade in in the summer months.

  1. Southern Africa does have winters

An eco-friendly lodge in a fabulous location. Activities provided were well thought out and presented by the exceptionally friendly staff. Remember that Africa does have cold winter weather, and tented accommodations, whilst being luxury, still get very cold overnight, particularly as this lodge is surrounded by water. If you’re visiting and cold weather is predicted, pack suitably.

  2. A peaceful paradise

We stayed on Chundu island March of this year enjoyed a wonderfull three days. Our lodge was number 5,decking close to river, great area to relax and listen to the birds, comprising outside shower, large comfy bed and plenty of storage all finished to a high standard. There is a lovely swimming pool to cool off when temp rises, the food was really good with a variety of choices.A night cap at the bar watching the hippos in the river super. We took an island walk with guide, and next day a safari walk across the river in the park. All the staff were wonderful ,smiles being the order of the day only wish we could have stayed longer.Forgot to mention the game drive to and from the Island we saw Zebra ,Giraffe,Kudu and wart hogs a truly wonderful experience.

  3. Unforgettable experience

This was my most special experience in Victoria Falls. Very relaxing and peaceful place where you can truly enjoy the African nature and life. There is also a lot of
wild game to see while driving to the island. We took a boat ride on the Zambezi River to watch the sunset, and we brought food, beer and drinks on our trip. I got a big cabin just for myself and the cabins are very luxurious to be on an island in the Zambezi River. We also celebrated a birthday on the beach watching the sunset that again was stunning. During night it was prohibited to walk outside because the hippos that stay in the river walk on land of the island during night and you can hear them outside of the cabin. All i can say is that this is the place to be if you visit Victoria falls.
