  1. Not your average bush camp

High on a hill, over looking Lake Kariba, one of the largest man made lakes in the world. It’s first class. We had a wonderful room with great bed, in and out shower. Meals superb, with a couple of choices. Our guide, Steve was great. He found animals and birds, many hippos, so much fun.

  2. The best way to experience Kariba

We were fortunate to visit the revamped Bumi Hills earlier this year and absolutely loved it. It is a stunning location the staff are amazing. Some initial teething problems given the recent renovation were quickly rectified and nothing was too much trouble. The adjoining family suite was incredible and I can’t recommend Bumi Hills any more highly. Kariba should be on everyone’s itineraries – it has always been one of my favourite spots in the world, made even better at this amazing lodge. Thank you our guide Steve and the wonderful staff.

  3. A wonderful Introduction to Zimbabwe

This was our first stop in Africa and I cannot think of a better introduction. The service is outstanding. Hope met us on arrival and tended to all our needs. Our guide, Steve, impressed us with his extensive knowledge. I had a wonderful massage with Rachel. We loved watching the antics of the baboons and velvet monkeys from our balcony. the food was excellent but the service is what sets Bumi Hills head and shoulders above. I hope that I am able to return someday.
