What the travellers have to say:
A Wonderful Safari Experience
We had a fantastic stay at Elephant Eye which exceeded all our expectations. The service was excellent through out our stay and the setting stunning. The rooms, especially the beds, were comfortable with a spectacular outlook. Shepherd our guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make our visit to Elephant Eye memorable. The food was of a very high standard and the chef visited our table at every meal. It was our first safari experience and it’s hard to think of how it could have been better.
AMAZING!
My 4 day stay here was everything I had hoped for and more! The camp itself is incredible; comfortable, beautiful rooms and the location with the waterhole in front is fantastic.
The staff are brilliant, and that’s from the manager Milton right through the waiting staff, spa, guides and front of house. We were made to feel part of the family and we were so well looked after.
I love the community projects.
While it was very green and difficult to see animals, I would still return to this camp in a heartbeat.
Thank you Milton and the team.
Green Season Excitement!
We had a lovely time at the lodge recently and, although the Bush was very green and most of the big game was hiding, our guide Shepard did a brilliant job showing and telling us about some of the hidden safari gems!
On our early morning walking Safari we tracked a herd of zebra to get up close which was brilliant. We also watched an elephant walk straight past us without knowing we were there, drank from the pan and carried on. Something we couldn’t have done from the vehicle.
Chef Moffat and his team did an amazing job on our menu during our stay and I am already missing his homemade biscuits!
Despite the little game sightings we had, our stay was not without excitement and on our last day we had a snake in camp which the camp manager Milton and his lodge team calmly relocated back to the bush far away from the lodge without hurting it or anyone else.
Well done team 🙂
